2018 2.7l ecoboost shutsdown

I think it has to do with towing heavier and coming to a stop and shutting motor down then starting backup before it cools off. By coming to a stop I mean you need to be going interstate speed for a longer distance towing, pull off interstate and shut down, such as an off ramp gas station or rest area immediately off hwy. Mine did this, but only at rest area type stops, if I drove thru town after coming off interstate it didn't do it if that makes sense. I was towing a 5k boat(2017 Ranger 621 full tourney rigged) from WI to Lake Erie, temps outside only about 40, which towed amazing btw when it happened twice. Both times it would start fine for about a second then die, I had to give throttle til it smoothed out and would idle long enough to put into gear. Hope ford figures this out...
@Nascarguy I take it you did not have your truck in tow haul mode? If you did the start stop feature would not have engaged.

Yes that's exactly what mine did, it died at a toll booth after a long pull..mind you I only had about 2000 lbs I was towing..and no I was not in tow mode I was getting better fuel mileage without it I only used it in the hills...
