Default 2017 3.5 EB is just silly. I love it.

Towing our 20' TT is just....SO EASY with our '17 Screw 3.5EB.
I'll merge onto the highway from a tight radius on-ramp...just punch it. Nice folks merge out of the right lane for me...but by the time I punch it and get up to speed, they're about a buslength behind the trailer.

The torque this truck has, even to overcome the ridiculously poor aerodynamics of both the truck and the TT, is just awesome. I freaking love it.

And averaging 75-77mph, I got 9.5mpg. 93 octane in this tank. Pretty freakin' good IMO.

Seriously. Look at the speed rating on your trailer tires. They probably list 65 as a max speed.

I agree, I pull a 23ft trailer, previously with a Chevy Traverse, now with the EcoBoost, AMAZING. I won't be arrogant and say I don't feel it back there, but it is a pleasure to tow now. This truck has soooo much oomph.

probably. But i'll be the first to admit I am not always a stickler for those, same with most folks. I get the risks.

I shake my head everytime I see someone towing towing over 65 mph. ST tires have a max speed rating of only 65 mph with optimum conditions.

Sometimes I think there should be a light trailer towing endorsement on your license, just as you have with a motorcycle endorsement, and CDL. Then maybe people will know the limits of the equipment they're operating.

I guess it's a toss-up then as to what's more dangerous? Towing a 7,000lb TT with a golf cart in the bed of a half-ton (way, way over payload, etc.) or going over the stickered speed limit on trailer tires?

Carlisle makes N rated trailer tires that are speed rated to 87 mph. I have them on my TT.

Goodyear started making the Endeavors this year in the US and I picked up a set, I believe they are rated at 87 mph also.

Looks like those will be my next trailer tire purchase, then the do-everything-right-all-the-time-guys will just harangue me about speed limits
