All else will fall into place provided of course you are between 10 and 15% TW on the ball.

However, with that said and done, it may not be enough. I also have a 2016 with similar handling issues while towing and have everything setup perfectly. The problem IS with the steering on the truck, one which I would like to find out how best to describe so that Ford can find a fix for it. I posted a thread under the 15+ trucks for hopefully some help.

What is that SSM you posted about?
It is a Software update something to do with the steering on the truck

If your tongue weight is 895lbs and then you add 100+lbs for the hitch, you must be right up to the payload rating of the truck when you add the typical passenger weight and other stuff. I guess if you tow with a pretty empty truck, then moving stuff out of the TT into the front of the bed (or interior) between the axles may help. You need to check your payload #'s first.

My 2 cents: BO set the hitch up wrong. Did they do it with your fully loaded TV and TT or did they guess?

It looks like a fix to earlier models (pre 2016) and not just related to towing.

My truck is newer than that one, but the description is spot on for the issues. At least it is something to go on now, thanks.

Unless you get an actual scale reading that show before and after hookup, it is still guess work. There is a worksheet available, don't remember who here has posted it, but it is great for calculating trailer weights and verifying proper hookup.

You've got to be at your payload rating then...don't know if you could even safely add weight to the truck. You may need to take her to the scales.

I still think the WDH set-up is something to check.

I'm towing a similar size trailer and I will tell you that there is a solution out there.

The differences I can tell between your setup and mine is the hitch and the wide stance trailer axles. I use the 10K/1K 4 point equalizer hitch. My tongue weight is around 925 pounds.

Wow! There’s either a whole lot slop in your receiver or it’s flexing way too much.
