2015 F150 Telescoping Tow Mirrors
#12
I asked for the telescoping tow mirrors to be included when I ordered my 2015 XLT but it arrived without them. At first the dealer tried to tell me that they were not available for this model. After they took another look they decided that they can order them for me now and the cost is $233 each (these are the manual fold type) and they would install them for free. Still trying to decide if I want to write out a separate check for the mirrors. I believe the price on the Build a Ford Truck website was only $169 for the pair but it says that you have to also include the side spotlights which brings the total cost close to what the dealer is telling me. Has anyone found a 3rd party that sells a similar mirror for a better price?

Thanks for the post. How much do these parts cost? EDIT: Nevermind, just googled them. Looks like about $500 per mirror, and $40-$50 per switch. Boy, not much of a deal considering you can add them when ordering a new truck for less than $200. Aftermarket, over $1000. Sheesh.

I'm reviving this thread. Right now, as far as I've been told, spotlights make or break the ability to run powered trailer tow mirrors. If you have spotlights on your regular-sized mirrors, you should simply be able to pick the trailer tow mirrors that fit the same features your mirrors currently have, and then pickup a new switch panel. Total cost can run anywhere between $1000-$1300.
Has anyone does this for XLTs that have regular sized mirrors without BLIS, 360 degree camera, and spotlights? If so, I'd really like to hear about it!

Apparently if you buy the whole entire harness for the door, you can either completely replace it to get the 22-pin connector or cut the 22-pin off the new harness and splice it into the wires coming to the smaller harness. If it isn't incredibly difficult, I'll do an entire harness replacement, otherwise I'll just cut and splice.
