2014 trailer wiring

I have 2014 xlt 5.0. It's 4x4. I just put a curtain hitch on it. I only has the 4 prong trailer wire sticking under the bumper. I am doing getting good a travel trailer and need trailer brakes. I see the 4 prong plugs into a big connection index the bed. My question is if I buy these will they just plug in. I know the brake controller goes in the cab but are the wires already there to plug it in too?

What is a "curtain Hitch"???

A 2014 XLT without a 7-pin trailer plug under the back bumper means you don't have the trailer tow pkg. So you need not only the wiring harness and trailer brake controller you posted, you also need an auxiliary tranny cooler, plus some fuses and a relay to add to your truck's power distribution box (the fuse box under the hood).

The trailer brake controller will not work until after you take the truck to a Ford dealer and have them "flash" the computer to tell it you now have an OEM trailer brake controller.

This stuff gets complicated in a hurry. Unless you are a cracker-jack shade tree mechanic with the right electronic tools, then I'd advise you to take the truck to your dealer and have them install everything you need to make the truck equivalent to those that have the factory towing pkg.

Sorry it was supposed to be curt lol. I know I would have to flash the computer just making sure everything would fit

If the truck didn't come with the 7 pin plug at the back, will the factory TBC work. I thought if the truck doesn't have the 7 pin at the back, the computer can't be flashed to recognize it.

Ok from all my research I just have to buy the trailer brake controller and the plug for the back. Plug in a relay and fuse which will already be wired in and flash the computer
