My 5er has a dry pin weight of 1190# and a weight of 7460#. Loaded, ready to camp 8750# and 1340# pin...tows great. Payload rating of just over 1800# too!

Ok, sounds like it might exist! But 15% for the pin weight seems pretty low for a 5'er. A lot lower than I'm used to towing, at least. My bumper pull travel trailer is nearly 13% wet (full water tanks) and loaded to camp for a week. But sounds like it is working for you.

Here are the specs for the 5th wheel I am looking at:
Dry weight - 5770 lbs
Dry king pin wt - 1107 lbs (19% dry)
Gross Max Loaded wt - 8103 lbs
However it would be a mistake to assume a loaded king pin weight of 19% of 8103 or 1555 lbs. A properly designed 5th wheel will keep the king pin weight constant with a normal load, or even unload it some. Typically your fresh water tank, which is the only one you should travel with full, can weigh 400 lbs or more, and is your heaviest load in the trailer. Again trailers will vary, but my current trailer puts that at the very rear of the trailer and it significantly lightens the king pin. But even if you assume the worst case which is that dry king pin weight remains constant, full loaded on a % basis king pin drops to 13.5%.
