2013 Limited Towing
Hi to everyone. Just bought a 2013 F150 limited. The sticker on the door says I have a GVWR of 7200 lb. I'm planing to pull a 27.5 foot boat out of the water and go about 200 feet to its parking place. The combined weight of the boat and trailer is about 9000 pounds. Due you think I'll be alright. It's really a small distance. Has anyone pulled this amount or similar weight with their 2013 Limited?

Yes its a 4x4. Just found out that the gas pump at the marina is not working. The closest gas station is about 3-4 miles away without hills. You think I'll still be ok? Remember, I have the Limited with the sport suspension and 22 wheels.

FYI the Limited is only rated to 7500lbs.

I'd be more concerned with the hitch. It's only rated for 500 lbs tongue / 5,000 lbs total without weight distribution. Would it fail in such a short distance? Probably not. But it's your truck.

Hitch rating is one thing, truck rating another.
Andrew is referring to Ford's recommendation for a WD hitch for anything over 500 lbs. Of tongue weight.
Nice thing about boats and trailers is you can move the boat around to get the tongue weight reasonable. If you have too much tongue weight, move the boat further back on the trailer.
For the distance you're going, I wouldn't mess with it. Hook it up and go.
Take it easy and watch your braking distance.

I'll second braking caution. Watch your distance and speed. I have towed my equip trlr loaded with tractor, frt loader, and mower close to 20 miles. Getting it moving was a snap, towing at 45 - 55 Mph through the mountains at 6K to 7.5K feet was easy. Stopping was a challenge
