I have a 2013 XLT 4x2 SuperCrew with the 5.0 and 3.55 locking rears. I regularly tow my boat and have no problems towing or pulling it out at a ramp. Just shy of 6,000lbs I am towing and have no problems.

mine is the XLT 4x4 it just has the regular rear end in it I am too thinking of getting a travel trailer I just don't know what size. the truck that traded in with my Super Duty F 250 trade in because I want a better gas mileage for every day I use it to the 60 bales of hay on a flatbed trailer about 8000 pounds. I would have liked to got the ego boost but I've heard there's too many issues with them still I hear it on the news all the time that they lose power towing and I can see a turboed v6 going over 100,000 miles without something major happened to it

OP: I would try to keep the weight no more than 75% of rated capacity and you should be fine. Don't forget to look at tongue weight an payload either (and not the published tongue weight as that is usually dry and unloaded, no LP or battery).
