Default 2007 F150 Towing issue

i have a 2007 f150 supercrew. It has a 4in lift. I recently purchased a travel trailer that weighs 5700lbs. The RV shop installed the trailer brakes for me. I noticed that when I am stopping with the trailer, it feels like someone is hitting the truck from behind. I have noticed that the trailer brake will display the number showing its power up until the setting and then goes blank but immediately comes back. What could be causing this? I also researched axle wrap but am unsure if this could be a cause since it does not do it on takeoff. Only happens when stopping with trailer. Need help?

The RV shop installed the trailer's brakes? Or the brake controller in the truck that allows the truck to utilize the trailer's brakes? If the second, did they then show you how to properly set the brake controller, and then drive with you to ensure you were setting it properly?

I'd go back there and request that immediately.

Even shop installed the brake controller. They did not drive with me to set it.

I don't know what "even shop" means.

A brake controller needs to be properly set. The information provided with the controller should allow you to do that, or you can Google for videos and instructions on how to adjust it.

Again, if it were me, I'd be back at the RV dealer resolving the issue and learning how to use it.

"even shop" is probably Apple/Android auto correct of "RV Shop"
