Some of the best computer advice I've received
I'm running Windows 7 with Firefox 38.0.5 browser. I recently had to reformat my hard-drive and re-install Windows 7. When I was finished and everything was working, I notice that the mouse cursor was very choppy kind of like you get when there's animated gifs or advertisements messing with the cursor. Some may think it's the website causing this anomaly but it may not be. I did some research and found a guy that had the following suggestion to fix the choppy cursor movement.
If you're comfortable doing this it will get ride of the choppy cursor movement while trying to get around the internet. It worked great for me.
Instructions:
1. Click the Windows start button.
2. Type msconfig.exe in the search "Search programs and files" box.
3. It will require the administrator password to run.
4. Click on the "Boot" tab at the top.
5. Click on the "Advanced Option" button.
6. Make sure the "Number of processors" is checked. Most importantly make sure the number of processors matches what your CPU has! (Duel core=2, Tri=3, Quad=4, etc; etc.
