Default Advancetrac/ ABS/ Check Brakes dash lights

NEED HELP::::::
These dash lights came on in my 2012 F150 XL. (Advancetrac/abs/check brakes) felt like steering was loose or would lock up. Finally around 6 weeks ago, truck was locked in park. Wouldn't go into any other gear on the column. Had to have it towed to the closest dealership. Truck has 24,000 miles. You read that right. And it has been at Covert Ford for 6 weeks. The first thing they said was it was the computer under the passenger glove box. Said I needed to pay for new key (because I only had one), in order to program new computer, (I told them that based on my research, it was a wheel sensor (TPMS) that may have busted. They insisted it was the computer. Well weeks go by and finally someone calls me about 2 weeks ago, says every tire, all 4 wheels, are missing the TPMS sensors (ALL FOUR) I bought truck 8 months ago and it has been in the dealership shop more than I have driven (thank god for after market warranties) Now this issue with the sensors and my dash light and wheels locking up didn't start happening till about 2 days before it needed towed. If it were missing all 4 would this issue have happened a long time ago?? Or is one dealership trying to make the other cover cost. This truck was sold to me without actuators, (2 of 4 to be exact) I have all my receipts, and the only people who rotated the tires since I purchased it, was the dealership. Please help me, Covert is telling me that none of this covered under warranty, no one will give me a total when I ask!!! Maxwell Ford is who I bought it from, they said it had them when I bought it. Please give me some advice. I'm looking at thousands after a hurricane caused me to become unemployed, I pay 500/mnth for a truck I don't have. Please give me some advice on what to say to them! The service man, Paul, won't even call me, he texts me, as if scared of confrontation. I feel someone is covering up a mistake they made!!! Thank you all in advance!!

Kmlacroix, I'm new to this forum, as well as owning a Ford all together. I feel like I'm being taken for a ride

You might be, or might not be. There is a Ford rep on this forum that has been able to help members. It is likely the techs have no idea and the dealer does not want to pay for their screw ups.

On the front page is the ford service rep thread. Click on the reps name and send a private message. Sounds like it is past time to escalate the situation.

Thank you my friend, I copy and pasted this post to the contact us, and then once you responded, I went to Ford Service. Think Brittany is the most recent rep. Thank you again for taking the time to help. I have 3 boys and a niece me and my wife are raising.This is supposed to be a reliable truck for baseball camping football beaches... Instead we have been couped up in a tiny rental, that on top of my 550$+ truck payment, I have to pay 12$: day for a Ford Focus because warranty offers 30$ a day tops. You can't rent one for 30$. Hurricane Harvey has devastated the blue collar guys here in south east Texas, so folks like you giving help to a guy you don't even know probably means more than you would ever think. Thank you again man. Hopefully the forum can help me, the 800 number told me they don't get involved with dealerships. I can't get a resolution. I'm afraid when they do fix it, I can't even afford to pick it up. Good night my friend. Your help is greatly appreciated....

There are no active Ford reps since February 2017...

If you bought a Ford Certified Pre Owned truck, then it has a warranty. If you didn't, then the selling dealership should have provided some type of a warranty. To my knowledge, missing TPMS sensors would do nothing but throw that warning, so they are not the issue. I do not believe that programming the computer by the dealer requires two owner keys. It seems that the dealer providing the service has no idea what they are doing.

I'd suggest calling the dealership and asking to speak with the GM.

Totally agree. Worse is that they didn't even come on the forum and say they were leaving, they just left.
