Varsity's '14 STX Sport Build
About a month ago, I bought my very first F-150 to replace my aging daily, a 2000 Explorer. I never really thought or pictured myself in a F-150, but I found one way too hard to pass up.
It's a 2014 F-150 STX Sport 4x4 in Sterling Gray Metallic that I bought CPO. It had a little over 45k when I bought it; a bit higher than I would've liked, but I don't drive THAT much, so it should probably even out in a few years. Plus, the truck looks very cared for, so I'm not worried. I gotta say, I'm VERY impressed with the truck. I mean, I know it's 2014, but this thing drives like a dream and looks great and gets me compliments everywhere. As far as the truck goes, I plan on modding it of course, but the goal is to keep it clean and tasteful, but mildly more aggressive. My Explorer is the toy, with 4" of lift, 33's, 4.10 Trac-Loc, etc, so no going overboard, or crazy lift on the F-150. The possibilities seem endless, almost overwhelming with these trucks, and being a student and working full time, I'll throw in the obligatory, "time and funds are limited so progress will be slow." BUT, I do have alot in store for this truck.
So onto the truck! It's got:
-201A package
-46k miles
-5.0 V8
-4x4
-3.55 rear axle
-20" aluminum painted wheels

The very next weekend after I bought it, I got to work removing the dealer stuff, like license plate frames and whatnot. Cleaned it up a bit more and read the owner's manual and got familiar with the truck. Lot more than what I'm using to
Also, first "mod" was changing the license plate lights to LED. Also, scheduled a time to get the bed Line-X'd.

Have a few more updates to add. Ordered some Husky X-Acts last week on the advice of this forum, so once I gave the truck a quick vacuuming, I popped em in. Initially impressions are that these are some great looking mats and fit well. We'll see how they do in the long run, but I'm optimistic.
Also, painted the FORD on the kick panel or plate, whichever you wanna call it. My phone does a terrible job of capturing it, but boy do these things pop!

A few weeks ago, I got Line-X sprayed in. This was high on my list of priorities to do while the truck is in decent shape, haha. I'm sure guys with Line-X will agree, but camera pictures do not do freshly sprayed Line-X justice..it looks amazing. And I didn't take into consideration how good it'd look, now I don't want to get it messed up!!
Also added a Recon smoked third brake light. Looks great and I hope it last a looooong time.
And I washed, waxed, and clay barred it the other day, what else is new? Hehe

Update time!
Did a few things here and there, but was gonna wait until I had more to post, but didn't realize the waiting would get out of hand so quickly, haha.
What I have pictured is the AVS AeroSkin bug shield and LED back-up lights (sorta). What I don't have pictured is the LED dome light and DeeZee Tailgate Assist.
I've had the truck for almost 6 months now, and I've loved every minute of it. Been using it for actual truck things, like hauling metal to the scrapyard or picking up drywall sheets. It's been great and that's what I've been focusing on, maintaining and enjoying it.
