Looks way better. Did you have to aim your low beams down? If so, how much light distance did you lose from that?

Haven't done it yet but I need to. With just the level and AAL, it wasn't bad, but with the tires being ~2" taller I'm going to fix it.

Just in case anyone is interested, for the wheels and these tires in particular, required trimming was mostly just the corner of the lower valance and then I made a small hole in the rear of the liner to pull it back with a zip tie. Pretty self explanatory.

Here's the other spot I'm having a minor rubbing issue with...

Trimmed off a little of that plastic where the rub marks were, seems to have done the trick, but we will see over the next couple days. Was only at about 3/4 lock to the left while going slow and hitting a bump in a parking lot. Normal driving, no issue. Full lock, no issue, reverse no issue, etc. Only that instance was where I had rubbing. After trimming the valance of course. Only alternative to trimming the valance would be to remove it altogether. Which I'm thinking about doing anyways...

So... few days ago I was on my way to work, and on the straight section of road just in front of my work I started hearing a clunking/rattling sound followed by steering wheel vibrations. Guy working at the gate said "WTF is that sound?" Told him I didn't know and it just started right in front of the gate basically. Slowly rolled to my parking spot to discover this x2 rolling around inside the center cap...

No idea how I managed it, but whatever, I'm sure I screwed up somewhere. Had the truck towed home after work for safety reasons. Have an appointment at local tire shop tomorrow morning and just had the truck towed up there today. Gonna get a couple new studs and make sure the others and everything else is all good.

On a positive note, I'm also having the muffler deleted and the end of the exhaust cut back to be hidden/dump just after the axle since the truck is already gonna be there.

This tire shop has been awesome to me in the past, always great prices and customer service, and local/family owned. Within the last couple years we had 3 or 4 new tire shops pop up, big chain type ones, and I got worried, but this particular shop is still very busy which makes me happy.

Got the truck back, everything is fixed and perfect again, along with the addition - or deletion - of the exhaust. Muffler is gone and had the exhaust cut to dump just past the rear axle. Only got charged $65 to have that done too. First impression - sounds way better. Can barely hear it in cab at idle, almost silent if cruising with minimal throttle, but you definitely know it's there when you put the foot down. Seems like a little drone under load at 1600, but nothing that bothers me. After getting off work I used the remote start, little loud when it's cold, but I'm loving it so far.

Well, not too much going on with the truck lately. Still trying to get this little bit of rub taken care of, but it's not a big deal.
Exhaust has been done for a bit now, still love the sound, but I was on training at work last week so I had to leave before my kids were awake and the cold start being as loud as it is worried me a bit. No issues, but I may look for a muffler over time to quiet it down a little. We'll see.

The only new thing... Got the SCT X4 yesterday from 5 Star (only reasonably priced tuner that ships to California) and got my custom 91 octane tunes today. Haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but I've seen tons of positive reviews. Only negatives I've seen were that a couple others might make more power, but hey, I can live with that. Plus my speedometer should be correct again, so that'll be nice.

Loaded up the 91 octane Performance tune from 5 Star, drove around a bit and to work and back... wow, quite a difference all around.

Well, been a while since I’ve really done much with truck. Took off the red F150 stickers, wasn’t a fan. Swapped out the flag emblem overlays with a matte black background and gloss black Ford lettering. Took off and sold the Monster 18x9s with Trail Grapplers and put the stocks back on. Then used the money from the wheels/tires to buy some new Method wheels. Debated between 285/75R17 and 290/70R17 since I didn’t think 315/70s would fit based on the old Trail Grapplers. Talked with the local tire guy and we thought we might be able to fit some 305/70s, so I ordered some of the new Cooper AT3 XLT’s in 305/70R17 and they cleared. I don’t know if 315/70s would’ve made it, be tight if they did.
Oh ya, I also removed the FX4 sticker and got an SSI 91 and 87 octane tune. Had to put in a 170 thermostat but the tunes are awesome, especially the 91. Has a very responsive throttle down low, but will kick into a higher gear earlier on. So it’s like a performance tune that would be good to cruise on the freeway with. Around town, my 5 Star economy tune gets better gas mileage, but on the freeway, I think the SSI would do just as well as the economy tune.
I think the next thing I’m going to get is going to be the Fold-A-Cover G4 with the drop in toolbox. That tonneau cover will flip open from the tailgate towards the cab, or the panel closest to the cab will flip back towards the tailgate allowing easier access to anything by the cab or that drop in box.
Here’s the truck as it sits now.
