TuscanyJC's '06 Tuscany FTX/FX4 build
Back in April of 2013 I made my first Ford purchase and scored a 2006 Tuscany FTX with only 6500 miles on it. It already had a 2" Truxxx leveling kit, Flowmaster Super 40 series SIDO exhaust, 20" rims, and 33" Nitto Terra Grapplers. At first, I really liked the overall look of the truck but the chrome started annoying me after a few months as I felt it was just too much. Then I joined here and started getting the mod itch. I've put quite a bit into this truck so far and still have a few things left to do. Bare with me on the pics as there's quite a timeline to convey.

Then, I purchased a set of 20x9 BMF F.I.T.E. Death Metal wheels with a 0 offset. Since my terra grapplers were new, I just swapped em over. Really liked how the stance changed with the 0 offset.

Due to some issues with the ebay projector headlights, I decided to sell em along with the euro tails. I put my stock headlights back on and found a good deal on some OEM tails that I smoked. I also picked up some carbon fiber door handle covers and ditched the chrome ones.

After looking at the truck, the red FTX logo started bugging me. It just didn't fit with the overall look of the truck. So I ordered a set of 09-12 FX4 logos off of ebay. That hideous chrome grille also had to go.

A couple of weeks ago, I snagged a good deal on a set of black N-Fab step bars to replace the chrome BigCountry nerf bars I had. I also removed the "Tuscany" logo from the tail gate.(Did not capture a pic...) as well as some emblem overlays for my tail gate and steering wheel.

And here is how it sits right now. Also, I removed the tow hooks and they are getting painted black and have plans to ptm the skull caps on my mirrors. Back in November, I ordered a custom retrofit by SickHIDs which are currently in the works. I'll upload progress pics of my headlights. The shrouds are going to be PTM'd silver to match my truck. I'm also thinking about getting a projector replica installed over the blinker and ptm'ing the shroud for it as well. Just can't make up my mind though. They should be completed within the next couple of weeks and shipped out. I'll be sure to post pics once I get them and get em installed.

I have two final mods that I would like to do but it's gonna take some time to save up for. I want to get a 6" BDS or Fabtech lift and 35" Trail Grapplers. Once I get those, my build should be complete. Those two items will probably take the longest to get which is fine because I am really pleased with the overall look of the truck as it sits today. Feel free to post any suggestions/comments about my build so far. I'm always open to new ideas/mods.
