Lots of work to do on her...tearing off the old wheelhouse and building a new one, building a new deck, another fuel tank, updating electronics, new water tight hatches and windows, sanding and fairing the hull, bottom painting and new gel coat, and rigging her out for tuna and lobstering. From the back of the wheelhouse to the stern is 35'! 47' overall.
I think your f150 could haul that boat easy.

Hey tuna, love the truck! Definately got some great ideas for mine. I just did my tail lights and 3rd brake light vht'd.
I had a question about your ford emblem on the tailgate: how did you prep the emblem and howd you get it down to where when you painted it would still slightly show the ford logos beveled into it almost?

Thanks. I I just scuffed the surface, cleaned with a paint prep, and sprayed with bed liner. Spray lightly and far away as to not gunk up on the paint. That spray on bed liner rattlecan goes on a lot thicker than normal paint.

Little update on the boat. So far, I've removed the mast with the help of my friend's knuckle boom on his boat (the Retriever), cut off all the stainless steel plating along the side (about 35 cut off wheels to do it!), cut the deck out behind the wheelhouse to install 3 more fuel tanks, installed one fuel tank, and currently about to install the second tomorrow. Hopefully next week the third and largest tank (180 gallons) will be installed too. After that it's putting in a new deck, rebuilding part of the rail, then cutting the wheelhouse off and build a new one.

Here she is finally home in my harbor.

After we just removed the mast. Friend was coming in the harbor and snapped the first shot of her without it.

Deck removed and first tank installed

That was a long 88 pages, but well worth it.

Thanks. As for the truck, I think I'm finally getting around to installing a Mile Marker Winch Mount/Guard with a Smittybilt XRC10 winch, 3 KC Rally 800 lights, and maybe a Rigid led bar. I will be selling my Smittybilt light bar soon if anyones interested. I drilled it so you can run all wiring internally for offroad lights for a clean look. I also coated it with bed liner. Looks sharp.

What do you think you'll be asking for it? Can you get me some dimensions on it and the mounting points. I would like to try to run something like that on my bronco

Probably $125 shipped or something around that. I can get dimensions. What happened to the F150? Do you still have it?

no, unfortunately the realization that driving the truck on a regular basis for college and work forced me to sell her. Plus I wanted to do more extreme things offroad without worrying about damaging the body and affecting resale (as great as that turned out to be). I sold my baby in August and drove around a jeep for a month (in the az heat and no top or ac) then finally found the car I was looking for. 2009 Corolla S with 54,000 on it. Got it for 12,200 and put tires on for 700 (plus warranty). After that I saved up for a couple months straight and found a 1990 bronco with 4 inches of lift, a cb, rebuilt motor and trans, offroad lights, and some other goodies and sunk a ***** ton of money into it (at least it feels like that). It needs tires, a battery, wipers, fender flares, and piping on the exhaust. Got the tires and they're going on tomorrow right after I replace the reservoir which I just found out is cracked.
The Corolla is the looker and the Bronco is my hooker (meaning I'll bang the ***** out of it every weekend) get it?

anyway here's a couple pics. The f150 is no more and like I said previously I would love to get that light bar of yours on it since mine doesn't even have a bumper (I think it would look good if I can find some mounting points).

What kind of prep did you have to do to your running boards before you painted/bedlined them? thanks
