TunaSlayer Mod Progress
Exactly dude. My truck is not a soccer mom's truck...IT WORKS. I use it everyday hauling and like to off road in my free time. There's been numerous close calls getting stuck but last week definitely sealed the deal on getting a winch. Nice to hear from you too...its been a while.
as much as i would hate to see that nice truck stuck anywhere. unless of coarse it was stuck in my garage! do you have any picts? twenty years ago i stuck my 89 f150 in a creek it took over eight hours to get it out. building bridges, ramps, dams, using hi-lift jacks and a come along. water was running in the drivers door and out the passenger door. didn't have a winch still don't. i feel your pain.
the winch is a great idea.

Mine doesn't match good enough for my tastes. Still trying to find a better matched paint. But, I just sprayed paint for plastic primer then different color paints to try to get the right tone. Black makes a lighter top coat darker, etc. If yours is black I think it's a Gryphon?
tuna, great looking truck. glad to see another black truck done well....and from mass. the only two build threads on this site are from mass....and black trucks....guess we are the trend setters. haha. seriously though, amazing work so far, and glad your still putting alot of work into yours...i have fallen off the band wagon as of late due to the insane amount of work i do on a daily baisis. anyways man just wanted to say great job so far and keep it coming.
thanks dude...kind of ironic that 2 stickies are both guys from mass with black trucks....whoda thunk it. My modding has def wound down though, especially with summer being my busiest time.
I've been sunk to the frame four times. Two of those times a winch would've helped. All four times required another vehicle and a lot of grunt work. I try to scout the iffy spots on foot now. Usually...
I actually like the look without the center caps. Just need to paint my hubs black with undercoating still.
