TunaSlayer Mod Progress
goldteam, I don't mind getting in and out without the boards. I just jump in and jump out without sliding on the seat. I like the look a lot better without the boards.
As for the hi flyers you're talking about...you should be careful. I have a few friends that have their gear out by the canyons and some have been tieing off a 50' section of floating line to F-up rec guys trolling up on the gear and hanging on it overnight (which can drag it over a mile with some boats and tangle the whole trawl up). Plenty of guys hauling their trawls have gotten a hook through the hand because a rec guy trolled too close and got his spread tangled up. If I had my gear out that far I probably would do the same. On the other hand, when I'm out at the canyons I do still hit the flyers, just don't actually hit them haha. Point of my ramble is, LOOK OUT FOR THE LINE OFF THE FLYERS AND MAKE SURE IT DOESN'T GET IN YOUR WHEEL!

yea i understand where your coming from. im a pretty ethical fisherman and am very peticular about my gear/boat haha, and i ussually fish baltimore canyon and surrounding hot spots! and thanks for the heads up! maybe ill give a "tuna slayer" shout out this summer when fishing!
I'll try to take as many pics as we go. We're taking the following off the trailer wrecker:
M3 control arms
H&R Springs
Bilstein shocks
header and full exhaust
M3 tranny
M3 motor
radiator
ecu
We already sold the Recaro seats and roll cage that was in the car. The sound system is being parted out too, which consists of TV, CD/DVD head unit/changer, 6 JVS speaker system
His car is bone stock down to the tape deck. The car is pure mint, showroom quality. Even the trunk is mint. Glove box has all original manuals. The engine and auto tranny are coming out and the new M3 eninge, tranny, and suspension components are going in. We're not touching the cosmetics of the car except a small decal on the drivers rear door window, Respect Your Elders with the BMW logo
. The engine puts down about 350 to the wheels and is aggressively cammed. Sounds like a beater at idle but will make the car the ultimate sleeper.

Yeah it is. That engine is a new M3 motor with 18k miles on it. Tranny is new too. The car was just a regular E30 sleeper with 20 grand into it. Guy raced it on the track before my friend bought it. He had done the engine/tranny swap, roll cage, M3 suspension, custom dash, gauges, audio, etc.

The car he's putting the newer M3 motor into which is coming out of the wrecked car is an E30 M3? Because the wrecked car is not. Tell him to be careful not to rev that newer motor too much and def not hit the limiter. My brother is a BMW tech for years and he says he's replaced more motors on those than any others. Now the new 335 twin turbo is a different story. That's a fast little car. Good luck with the swap and build, look forward to seeing some progress pics.

The car pictured is an 88 E30 and the car he's swapping the motor into is an 89 E30 4 door. None are M3s, just the motor and tranny are. My friend is a huge bimmer guy. He built up the M3 motor with new heads and cams along with other higher performance internals so I'm not worried about him not knowing specs on the motors. He's done this stuff before.
