Did you paint your truck flat black??? It looks like it and I have always wanted to do that!! Just don't have the funds!
The running boards I had painted black with getting a few chips here and there from rocks (half the roads I drive on here on the island are dirt and rock). I had planned on going off-island the the shop the Line-Xed my bed but couldn't find the time (45 min, $77 ferry ride then 2 hour drive to North of Boston), so I bought some Dupli-Color Spray On Bed Liner. It came out better than I thought and is more resilient than I thought it would be.

Did the mounting brackets as well.

Got ambitious and did the trailer hitch too

I can't find this light bar under "Ford" on that website. What exactly was the name? I had the Hella Black Magic Driving Lights but they wouldn't fit on the bar i had. They are larger than most driving lights. Please advise. Thanks!! BTW, your truck looks awesome!! I would get bigger tires personally but other than that nothing. Looks great!!
trucks not painted flat black, it was just the lighting and dirt with sand reflecting off the paint that made it look like that. Get your boards powder coated if you can. Bigger tires would have been cool but I'm not trimming my wheel wells to make them fit. I sanded the chrome to almost nothing.
hey bud. Any reason why you went with a 2'' AS vs the 2.5 ?? Im on the fence right now and since Ive been following your build from day one, i figured id ask since you seem to have a good eye on the parts you've selected.. TIA
I asked him the same thing and basically he told me that the half inch isn't going to matter much in appearance but the 2.5 will wear out parts much faster than the 2" and that's why he told me to go 2".
I saw how much just a 2" spacer changed the angle of my CV joints....I wouldn't want to increase it anymore like you would with 2.5" or 3". I know there's plenty of guys here with 2.5 and no problems (so far), but that type of wear takes time. There's a guy on here that had a 3" and have to prematurely replace all his joints. I'd rather play it safe. You can't even really tell the diff between a 2" and 2.5" anyways so why go bigger?
Here's my 22' trap trailer. It's that time of year again folks! LOBSTA. Also, I'm picking up an '89 E30 bimmer with an '04 M3 engine swap and lots of other goodies later today off island. He bought a bone stock mint '89 E30 that we're gonna swap this new M3 engine into and tranny. It's making about 360ish with cams right now. The car he bought for the engine is wrecked so we need to use the trailer to tow it back to the island.
