Yeah it would. You just need to rough the surface up enough for the paint to stick and use high heat temp paint. I painted my stainless tips black as well this way but used high heat black paint instead of a rubberized paint for the top coat.
Hey man I just got through looking at the whole transformation of your truck and it is definitely inspiring. It's a sweet lookin truck and you have done a magnificent job on it I am wanting to do something like that with mine but probley not as advanced lol does your truck have the 4.6 or 5.4? I am wanting to lift my truck up maybe 2" and then beef up the rear suspension. Would it be best to level the truck up and then put the extra leaf spring on? The leaf spring lifted the back end a bit right? Also where did your get your stereo? Is it ford? How much?

He's definitely got the 5.4. Also, while Tuna may come back to you with some insight, I have a little of my own if it helps at all. If you level your truck with a front end leveling kit, you will be raising it about 2 inches. Most leveling kits do just around 2" total. So you'd gain the extra hight, while becoming level, AND you'd hit your 2 inch overall target! Tuna's truck has lots of stuff going on and if you want it to be like his then he is definitely the man to talk to about it. Just so you know though, his information is already on this thread and he has start to finish pictures of every job he has done. I like your truck Spiderman, and I hope your builds go well!

I've seen leveling kits that go up so far in the front they had to put blocks in the back. It looked HUGE, too. I myself went the other direction. I got Belltech lowering shackles. I guess we will just have to wait for the expert to give you his advice on the AAL in the back, and how much the 2" leveling kit actually did.
A question, what size tires are you wanting to put on?

I'm excited to see how it will turn out
I just went back and reread his posts on all the lifts I might go ahead and do it. Right now I'm sticking with stock. Tires will probley be a ways away I'm wanting to lift it and do headers next. I got the cold air intake a TBS wich probley doesn't do anything as I found out lol and just got tinted windows and flowmasters 40 series next will probley be headers, programer, lift, then tires and rims.

I've got that on my truck as well. Dual turndowns dumped right behind the cab, in front of the axle. I've got a programmer, and CAI. That's it for performance. 4.6L is nice, but I want more power... you know?
