Eh, it was over $100 more. I can always send this in for a tune down the road.

Finally got around to installing the new Mag-Hytec.

I was very relieved to see all the teeth nice and sharp. I did not find any shavings so my rear is mint!

Gasket scraper goes a long way.

Used a rag to get the rest of the old lube out.

I used Redline lube for LS.

Mags come with a gasket already, so no mess. Little gear lube around it and good to go.

It'll be nice down the road to have a dipstick

All done. I'll get better pics in day light.

BTW, I'm spray an undercoating on the rear axle this weekend. I know, it's hideous right now. Damn Northern winters.

nice work Tuna
did you have to remove that square bolt that everyone dreads or did you just refill using the dipstick hole?

It would have been easier if you srayed it before you removed the old cover.

That Mag-Hytec looks so nice!

Zach, per Mag-Hytec, you can just fill it through the dipstick.

Larry, I couldn't hold off on installing the cover. I'll just tape it off when I spray. I'm going to use a grinder with a wire brush, power wash, wipe clean, spray.

I know the feeling! When I did my headers! I couldn't wait for the exhaust to be redone by my usual shop so I went with the magna flow side out somewhere else. no Patience.
No I have the magna flow sitting in the garage for sale and I put back the new bullet system like I took off. I wasted over $600.00
I guess I am worse I wasted money you just added a little extra work.
