Ok so last week I took the FORD tail gate emblem off to spray black but right at the last minute I decided to liner it with some left over cans I had. I liked the texture, but when the sun hit it it wasn't jet black enough. Today I sprayed a top coat of black on and really like the outcome. Went and did the F150 emblem on the gate as well. Tomorrow I'll do the fender emblems.
Last week, just liner

Today

This is the Sem Solve stuff I always mention. Great prep solution

On 3 of them now, like the change though. Plus great posts and opinions on all 3. I have a question for ya though. Why did you decide to wire the back-up lights to switches instead of having them always come on with reverse?

They do always come on in reverse, the switch is just to turn them on when I'm not in reverse...great for tail gaters

Had some time today and finished the fender emblems. Had some engine primer and paint laying around so decided to do the exhaust black. Too hard to keep the polished tips looking good with our winter months. Matches the theme well too. Also took off the running boards since they were always filthy and made the truck look even dirtier. I like the look right now and can always throw them back on if I rip the crotch of my pants too many times trying to get in.

This is my next new project unfortunately. I rent out my basement in the summer tourist season and part of the sell is a nice little POS island car you can beat on a little. Well I try to drive it a few times a month and today, going down a dirt road, the exhaust broke at the cat-midpipe (or resonator). Rather than waste time welding it back, I'm just gonna cut the cat out and clamp in a piece of straight pipe and exhaust paste. I bought the car for $300

Nice, one thing is I don't have steps on my truck. The padding in my seat is about shot because of it. Not having a step to get on I have to kinda scoot in, and it has wore the seat out over time. Hopefully soon i will be able to build a low-profile set of steps and replace the seat cushion.

Just some food for thought.

Yeah I hear ya, I've had a truck without them before and I just made an effort to kind of 'jump' out each time as to not wear on the seat. We'll see, I really just want to get the boards Line-Xed.

Looks good, I had the same thing happen on my Chevy truck as your Honda. Pulled the truck out of a field and left the muffler behind.

Replace your steps with a set of welded in nerf bars/rock sliders. Look good, save your body and your seats.
