It’s $303 at American Trucks and CJ Pony Parts. It isn’t in the budget right now though. Says they will be getting more in stock. I just spent $450 on a throttle body so it’s hard to justify it this month.

Mine is $340 everywhere. I'm in the same boat though. I just threw down $270 on a pressure washer, foam cannon, sealant, wheel wax, and iron x. I need to buy a new lawn mower soon too. Mine is one that used to be self propelled but had parts robbed off of it to repair another one before I got it. My grass is very thick in the front yard, and pushing this thing around is getting very old. Lol. A standard push mower would be easier because it wouldn't have the extra gears and such to turn.

I just looked at Amazon and yours is ~$340 there also. I guess they figure the uglier the part it’s replacing, the more they can charge. Don’t get me wrong! Nothing ugly about your truck, except that plastic expansion tank. LOL!
I agree! Mower would have to come first here too!

Lol. It's downright awful. Normally I wouldn't care about it being under the hood, but man, every time I open that hood its just right there in my face. They'd be right though. Even if it was at $450 I'd be doing it eventually. Haha

I'm planning on being reasonable with it and spending about $300 on it. My neighbor has one of the Honda brand ones that he let me borrow when mine was broken. Those are some sweet mowers, but I'm not spending $600 on a walk behind mower that might get used once per week. Lol

How much land do you have to mow? We have 5 acres but only about 2 1/2 is lawn. I do it with the lawn tractor but I use a “cheapo” push mower to do all the edges, around obstacles and the area where we park. That mower only cost $150 two years ago at Wally World. It’s a Murray. Sits outside in the weather year round and still starts on the first pull. I just puta new blade on it every year and the only thing thats ever broke was the engine break cable. Got one for $11 on Amazon. I beat the living crap out of that thing and it keeps on going.

Lol. A significant amount less than that. I've got just over 7,000sqft of a lot (about 1/8 of an acre) and about 4,000 of that is area to be mowed. My neighbor is a handyman and had a customer give him two edgers, he didn't need them so he gave them to me. I'll post some pics when I get home today. One is pretty old. Being a corner lot, 3/4 of the yard is the front that gets edged along the road, the driveway, front walkway, and sidewalk. It's a lot for just a weed eater. The $300 I'm looking at is a Troy Bilt self propelled with deck washout connection and bag. I think it has one of the new "Check, Don't Change" engines that no longer requires oil changes.

The new cable was a little long so I just coiled it around the handle.

My current mower just had the carb cleaned, fresh gaskets, fresh oil, and now I've got the governor set just a little too high. Always starts on the first pull though. If it was worth it to fix the self propel system I'd do that instead of buying a new one. But the amount I'd pay for parts, then the work to install them wouldn't be worth it. This thing is about 10-12 years old realistically.

Used Chemical Guys Citrus Wash on the outside, Meguiars Natural Shine Protectant on plastics, Turtle Wax Luxe Leather on the seats, then Chemical Guys waterless wash on the engine bay. I need to do a full clay treatment and wax/sealant on it soon.
I'm doing it all before I buy the house. There will be no play once I get that thing.

Most car washes claim to have wax additives in them to and they rarely make a difference. I will say from a shine perspective I didn't notice anything really different, but admittedly it's been a few months since I've washed the truck. Where I noticed a difference was on Sunday when the rain started. The water was actually beading up on the truck like it had wax on it. I'm impressed! For the interior I use Meguiar's Natural Shine Protectant on all of the plastic, Turtle Wax Luxe Leather on all leather, and then RainX Glass Wipes on the windows and gauge cluster.

I've since ordered an electric pressure washer (Sun Joe SPX3000), a foam cannon, iron-x for the wheels (there's contaminants embedded in the wheels because I've been neglecting it...), Chemical Guys Jet Seal for the paint, and Chemical Guys Max Coat wheel wax. The Jet Seal has solid reviews online for lasting 8-12 months and can be waxed over for an even deeper shine. The wheel wax from them has been tested against others and a few different sites said it is the best bang for the buck. Their drying towels are impressive as well, one towel dried my entire truck without me having to wring it out. I have another microfiber towel that was bought specifically for drying from Walmart (labeled as a drying towel) and it does not work near as well. So far I am impressed with most of the Chemical Guys stuff I have. The Diablo Wheel Cleaner seems more of a gimmick of being "wheel cleaner" because it didn't seem to be any more than just soap. For the engine bay I picked up their Waterless Wash, sprayed everything down, and used a microfiber rag to wipe everything down.

Chemical guys is great stuff. I bought some of their hybrid v7 quick detailer. I highly recommend it. The stuff really changed how I do my washes. And the shine was impeccable if you saw my Instagram story on Friday night you saw the results. tareed94's 2016 Lariat Build-photo257.jpg
