I'm trying to. It's kinda tough at times, but it's always worked out before. I appreciate it John.

I went to school for Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering Technology (4-year ABET accredited and can get my PE, important because there is a 2-year certificate at some community colleges with the same name). I have done Civil Engineering in Corpus on the Harbor Bridge Project, some Mechanical Engineering at Universal Plant Services, but the majority of my experience is Crane and Rigging stuff. I've done a good bit of lift planning, including figuring out ground bearing pressures, and some in 3D. My house is right around Fairmont and the Beltway, and that's about where UPS is. That's 10 minutes from my house with morning traffic.

Just emailed him. Thanks man!

Oh yeah you're close. The high school is about 3 miles from my house.

So far still unemployed. I have a solid lead with a crane company to be their lift planner, had a very good interview last week and am expecting to get an offer from it.

I need to follow up with a recruiter that was talking to me about being a salesman for a different crane company, and I have a phone interview with a company that makes weld free pipe connections. Tax return is looking like $2400 right now, along with about $3,000 sitting in the bank. I could make it out through April if need be before I start really panicking and jump to somewhere like Lowes or Home Depot.

So on the list today is following up with the lift planning crane company just to bump myself back to their minds, responding to the email I got from the recruiter yesterday saying he needed to get back with the hiring manager so I'm on his mind again, and I have an interview with the non welded pipe connection company tomorrow morning since the phone interview went well.

Sounds like you might get to choose where you want to work! That's awesome!
