My new black housing headlights came today, can't wait to get them installed. Also had Christmas at my dads this evening. He is doing better and going to be back to work in a few weeks. Talked with him about mixing 1:10 black to clear ratio to tint my taillights. He said sure, lets give it a try. He likes to try new things and already has all the paint/supplies needed.

Very interested in that!!!! What would you do with the reverse lights then? In my case, I really wouldn't care about them, but if push came to shove, a good set of LED in there instead of OEM bulbs, might brighten things "back up".
LOL, see what I did there?

I did, and as far as reverse bulbs, I already have some LED's in there and will be ordering some 3157 red LED's for the tails. There are some 3157 on Amazon with stellar reviews. Looks like the same exact bulb 2 major websites have for sale, for 1/3 the cost.

Do you have the ebay link handy? I have been looking at a few options that look like Morimoto but they were around 80$.

Thanks Jon, just went ahead and ordered those reverse bulbs. 1200 Lumens is pretty bright, I've got 900 on the Ranger, and those work well. Just getting worked up about tinting those tails in advance.

No problem, there is like a 1 second delay from putting the truck into reverse than when they kick on, but they are BRIGHT!

Decided that since I am going to have my stock tails tinted to add some vinyl to the body. American Muscle has hood and tailgate graphics. I think they will go great with the black and blue theme. Painter is working on my mirror caps, door handle pulls and tailgate handle lever. Hope to get the black headlights on tomorrow. Boxlink system will have to wait to get installed until the tonneau is removed in the spring. Gotta hook up Forscan and change up some bulb outage setting for the LED's. This damn cold weather really slows things down. Can't wait to retire in a warm climate.
