I want black tips right behind the stepboards in front of rear tires.
Begs a question -
Is the gas tank in the way on the driver's side ?

Yep, yep, they're black chrome. On the crossover for the left tail pipe, it is pretty visible behind the axle. What I did on the '12 was to paint it with VHT every so often. I was hoping on the new truck with the lowered rear end, it wouldn't be as visible, but you can still see it, just haven't gotten around to painting it yet. I'm not totally sure why Borla does that, it doesn't look like it would be much of an ordeal to design it to lift it up a few inches.
The other complaint, if it is one, I wish the tips were longer so the transition between the tips and the tail pipes would be less visible.

I want a louder exhaust, but often leave early or come home late. I'm looking into an electronic exhaust cutout, and have a separate system coming off of that, obviously just sticking with single pipe. It'd more than likely be a straight pipe dumped somewhere out of sight. So when I feel like being loud, flip the switch and instant loud. Lol. But still retain the semi loud cherry bomb I've got in there now.

The ATAK cold start isn't really all that loud. I say that, and my XR-1 will be obnoxious!

Sounds like a good plan, but more than I want to spend on exhaust.

I feel ya. That's why I haven't done it. Lol. There's other things I want more than just more noise.

What? Like PTM trim package specific fender emblems? Lol, got them in the mail today and had to get them on. Really impressed with the color match and quality.
