Yeah, the biggest problem with the Hankooks Ford put on from the factory is they are a 105 rating, same as cars use. This is a 4x4 SUV, so all the people going to Michelins or the like are using the 109 rating. They are all pleased so far. Hankook Dynapro ATM are amazing. Just dont get the Hankook Ventus S1 Noble.

Oh, gotcha, I've got the ATM's. I read reviews of those, and they seemed workable, but those were reviews on their website. Don't always trust reviews on a company site.

Yeah, no lie. I use reviews from Discount Tire, Tire Rack and 1010 tires. I am getting the Michelin Defender. Was leaning toward the Premier, but wet and snow traction plus mileage warranty is better with the Defenders, plus they are cheaper. They are the #1 rated tire in the 255/50/20 segment.

I "was" going to buy the Goodyear Adventurer in 285/55/20, until I saw the price. My guy at the dealer told me the ATMs were pretty good, so I looked at reviews, and they pretty much echoed what he said. I don't plan on much driving this truck in the salt, and treating it like I did the '12. My little Ranger with the DuraTracs does a pretty good job anyway.

Eh, I'm not a Goodyear fan. Long story, but my dad worked for them at the plant in Topeka, KS got laid off several times, made for some tough times growing up, like oatmeal twice a day and eating the government cheese my grandma got that she had too much of. No lie......I had to do without a lot, so now I work my butt off to provide for my wife and kids and treat myself from time to time. My wife is so supportive, but she and the kids come first, ALWAYS. Anyways..........back on track.

On top of that, Goodyears, while they've never been a *bad* tire, are always seem overpriced...

I know how a good winter tire is important to you fellrz, living in the north as you do. I appreciate your feedback (while I eavesdrop on yer conv0) on these tires.

I am actually in Kansas, snow can be plentiful or absent. Last couple of years, absent. But ice, now that we get plenty of. No tire can tame that!!!!!!

We put Michelin Pilot Sport AS3+ on our Flex & they have been amazing. A huge upgrade over the Nitto Motivos that were on there when we bought it.

My truck will be getting a set of LTX Defenders when them time comes. 4 trucks worth of experience with them via my dad.

Well, got the Michelin Defenders on the Explorer. The ride is night and day, so much better! I am thrilled that it rode as good as it does.

Back to the truck, I disabled seat belt minders, door open chime, avg speed in cluster and tried to change to the Blue GT theme. Got a warning that the module was not supported and then a DTC. I wonder if it cant be changed on an XL? The guys on the Forscan thread are helping me.
