When cargo lights are on or power management system timer. I prefer not to wire a on/off switch. Seems simple to be able to hit unlock on the fob, and they come on. Any ideas Mike?

Using the cargo light seems like a good idea if you are not going to install a switch. I've never looked that closely at mine. It looks like Line-X installer just masked off the factory switch and lights, they didn't do that great a job either.

Mike, yours is letting moisture in the bottom of the light like mine is. I am going to try and figure out how to seal it up. I may go the cargo light route for wiring. Would prefer the rear passenger sill area to pull power from.

Only time I hook from the front is when I can't get it spun around to hook from the rear. I've used my tow hooks a few times in the past year. Mostly pulling stuck rookies out on the beach. I'm actually considering getting a winch I've used them so much.

Well, no beaches in Kansas, lol. All my hunting is accessed on a gator at my parents 400 acre ranch and fishing the local lakes, creeks and ponds I don't leave the dirt roads so really not a lot of use for tow hooks for me. They were going to be more of a looks thing.

Yeah that'll do it if there isn't a need I wouldn't do them either!

Jon, have you had any luck with the wiring?

John, no, haven't even attempted it. We got ice on Thursday and a high temp of 17 yesterday. It may get above freezing today (been below freezing for almost a week now), so I may take a look at it. I have all my wiring, connectors, lights, silicone and volt meter laid out in the garage ready to go. The silicone will be to try and seal up the lights from the backside if possible. I haven't looked to see if that area is easy to get to. If not, I will either seal from the front, or look at making a gasket. Going to try passenger door sill area first.

Oh ya, with it being as cold as it is, I've lost any interest in getting out there. Have some LEDs for the markers and turns in the heads, the Forscan thingy, and a couple other things. Got to look at my bed lights to see if they're leaking as well.
