Truck sure is looking good too. Blue and a little black sure look good together.

Well things just did what they call a 180. Bought a pair of black tow hooks with brackets/bolts for $25 shipped. Bought the boots for $30. Couldn't afford (or don't want to pay the price, lol) the 4x4 valance so was going to cut my valance holes open. Just haven't gotten the courage up to do that, mostly fear that I won't do a good enough job for my OCD. My son came over today and we cleaned our trucks and he showed me his tow hook (chrome and rusty) that had gotten bent up when a buddy had to pull him out of a snow bank. I walked into the garage to show him what I had and he was happy, because he wanted a set to paint red anyway, so I made a trade with him. He ordered a OEM led bed light and I am going to run wires from my cargo lamp to the light so I have light under the tonneau. Seems like a better, more useful option to me. Now I can stop stressing over the valance.

Same here, I pay for towing on my insurance, but sometimes ya have no choice. I carry a nice hook that slides into my reciever, along with real recovery straps. Haven't needed them except once with the other truck when I fell off the road.
I've been running 4X4's since 1976, and only hooked to the front once or twice. Works a lot better hooking to the rear as close as possible if you're playing the unsticker guy. Escapes me why some try to pull from the front to unstick someone.
I suspect you're like me anyway, my truck ain't a wrecker, unless it's an easy pull, and she's gotta be damn good looking.

Got my OEM bed lights today. Interesting that both factory plugs (which have been Line-X'd over) have allowed road debris (water/sand/dirt, whatever) to leak into the bed. Will that change with the install of the lights or should I run a bead of silicone around the edge of them when I install? Wish they had a gasket or something. I wonder if the silicone can be applied from the backside since it looks like I need to remove the taillights to run the wiring easier.

Do you want the lights to be able to be turned on when the cargo lamps are on or available anytime the power management system timer is on?
