Well took back the 2018 today to get my Explorer back. That recall is a joke. 2 pieces of sticky aluminum 4"x8" over 2 holes near the bumper, 3 plugs glued in to liftgate where the rubber drain flaps were and a supposed HVAC module update. Hope it works.
Back to my truck. Decided to try and cure the keypad issue that randomly comes and goes. So I picked up a new keypad from the dealer (mainly to get that 2 year/24k warranty). Installed this evening and working perfectly. I did thoroughly inspect the old keypad and saw what looked to be like crimped wires from installing the keypad into the pillar, then sliding the pillar into place. Decided to put the pillar in place, then snap keypad in last this time. I guess time will tell. Happy to have it functional again.

Hope the recall works, as simple as it was. Wonder what the HVAC module had to do with it.
I'll be getting into my keypad here in a few days, I hope to remove it to do the wrap on the B pillars. Wish me luck!!

Check this out: https://www.ford-trucks.com/articles...in-the-making/
Got notice from my son that Ford-Trucks did a story on my truck. I put 2 and 2 together to determined they are owned by Internet Brands. Still would have been nice to know about it before the story was put on their sister site. Oh well. Here is the screenshot he sent me while I was on vacation in the Ozarks.
