Sounds like you have the same type relationship I've got at my dealer.

Well I dont know them all real well, but my brother buys a new vehicle there every couple years. The finance guy that goes over the extended warranty and yada yada has a tuned and lifted 2014 and said to just ask him if any mods I plan to do, even a tuner, will affect warranty. There is a shop and hour away that the dealership uses to tune for whatever reason (they have several lifted trucks on the lot).

My salesman is an olde gearhead too, and I've gotten to know the service writers, some of the office people, and mechanics. I never have a time I go in there with either truck that I don't get compliments and questions. Sometimes a customer will hear us BSing and jump in too. I actually like going there.
I've been meaning to mention, I've looked a build price on the Ford site thanks to you. Looking at a Scab, 4X2, 5.0, similar to yours. If by some misfortune I end up downstate, one of those might be in my future. Never thought I'd be eyeing and planning on a 4X2, semi dropped truck!

Just make sure that you go with the e-locker. Helps a ton in slippery start situations, then auto-disengages at 20mph. Glad I am a positive influence!

LOL, my wife wouldn't think so!! Ya, an e-locker is definitely in the equation. I really didn't want to go to the XLT, but Ruby Red doesn't look like it's available on a XL. Dagnabbit!!!
I'll have to look closer at Magnetic or Stone Grey. I like red, but Race Red with what I want to do would be over the top.

Lol, I got the stink-eye from my wife this morning......when I was installing the shackles, she said " I thought part of a new truck meant you didnt need to work on it any more." I had to tell her this was by choice, not necessity! I almost got Magnetic. It had carpet and reverse sensors, but no backup camera or the better trailer tow package. Plus I didn't want something that dark. I keep em clean!

Got magnetic? Love it and your pop can. Lol. My wife said something similar when I leveled and put 305's on mine. "So you're done right?" Nah, I want a an AAL and some spacers, with a boss intake and a couple tunes and a couple other things I can't think of off the top of my head.

Looking good! Curious to see what wheels you go with. Def try and find a wheel with exposed lugs, the oversized centercaps probably won't look great on a lower truck. I've always had so much trouble finding wheels that were unique, all the wheels out there are looking the same to me. Oversized caps, machined (full circle) faux bead locks on the lip edge...etc I like different personally, which I why I chose full black simple wheels for my winter set up.

I can't begin to count the times I've heard that,. With this 150 though, I do everything up here, and don't say anything unless it very obvious like wheels, then explain the parts I sold, so they really weren't that expensive.
I'm not sure she really buys it, but it prevents an argument, and I'm really not lieing, am I?
The only thing she said was when she saw the Coyote blue oval on the back, "That didn't come like that!", was all she said.
