I am happy with the high beams. I put in 9011 HIR1 Philips in and they are great.

I don't expect a huge improvement in my lows versus what I have now, I just want that 3 year warranty!

Actually I followed your idea and used those too for the highs, the light output is great. The color though won't cut the mustard with my OCD I waited for the 20% off on the 4th of July.

I'm waiting for a break in the high beam price too. $150 for a set of bulbs that hardly ever get used is too much.

The high beam color being off doesn't bother me. I tried a pair of 9005 leds I had in the high beam, and output wasn't good. It was scattered up too high. Not useful.

Isn't it always nice when a problem leads to a solution to a problem you didn't know you had?

I had a low beam bulb "going" bad. I could tell that some of the 6 LED chips weren't at full power on my passenger side. I am going to buy Diode Dynamic SL1's when they go on sale next, but for now (since half my driving is in the dark), I grabbed a pair of Sinoparcel H11 LED's for $23 shipped off ebay. Decided to try the high beam LED again (9005). I did notice the other day while "testing" my low beams, aka flashing the crap out of them/high beams really fast and turning the headlight switch off and on fast (scientific approach, huh) that my passenger high beam was pointed closer to the ground than the driver side, but low beam adjustment was perfect. Turns out as I was installing the high beam led's today, that when the kid in the plant over in QUITANG, China installed the trim ring, that he trimmed off the wrong tab that locked down 1 of the 3 tabs on the bulb, letting the bulb rotate an extra 45 degrees, making the beam pattern high and low, not left and right or even. It took some doing to make an extra tab out of some tin, but I prevailed. SO THATS WHY MY LAST GO ROUND WITH HIGH BEAM LED'S WENT WRONG and the tree tops were well lit. I can't wait to see how it looks all LED on my drive to work at 4 am tomorrow. Whew, that's a lot of typing.

LOL, ya know, between the 2 of us, we've likely pulled these buckets more than most body shops!

LOL, been dere dun dat. I got some new superduper highpower reverse lights for the other truck. Took things apart, put things back together. No big deal? Well yeah, after I was done, I discovered both sets, olde and new, sitting on my tool box. I blamed it on my dog.
