PTM mirror caps look really nice. Did you purchase new caps or did you end up sanding down the textured black caps?

Thanks Ray. I sanded mine down, 150, then 400, then green Scotchbrite pad. PPG Omni coat single stage on top of whatever primer/promoter the paint store suggested. I will post pics of the actual products used.

no, always use the more gritty paper last. Give the paint something to adhere to

Correct, lower the number, the coarser the sandpaper. Should have been 150, 400, green pad.

That's what I was thinking, just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.
