The new lights also match the mirrors and the fog lamps surrounds and the plastic block incerts in the bumper.
Pecked out on my iPhone.

UNDERCOVER SWING CASES
My boys pooled their money together and bought me some Undercover Swing Cases one Christmas. THEY ARE GREAT!
I normally like heavy-duty, commercial (like for Fire Trucks) type of equipment but these are inexpensive plastic. I've found that they hold up very well anyway. I've got them way overloaded with my 4x4 stuff and trailer towing stuff in the left side and all my tire and battery and tie-down stuff in the right side.
They hold more than you would think. I like how they lift out if needed. I keep padlocks on the brackets to secure them and help fend off a thief.
Easy fifteen minute install and they use the factory holes and the front brackets attach at the box cleats mount. No holes to drill.
Pull the yellow lever and swing away.
Note the padlocks for extra security.

I picked up a GREAT little LED pocket flashlight at Harbor Freight. This thing is like 280 lumens. Unbelievable bright. I fabricated an aluminum clip on the left Swing Case so I could keep the flashlight handy and also use it to light up the truck bed.
This little baby is bright!
Got a light? This thing will be multifunctional and is removable when needed.
Here's the case, lifted out. If I had to change a tire at night, I can sit on the box and point the light toward the wheel. Far out dude!
Here's a night shot.

Those swing boxes are a good idea,
I think Ford makes a set you can buy as an accessory, but the price is eye watering
And they are plastic just like yours anyway.
I would think that you can sell your old headlights, no problem.
I'll bet anybody that needs one due to accident is looking $400.00 apiece, if they go to a Ford dealer.
You could check on ebay to see what they are going for.

I'm eager to hear your first impressions on the rear 5100s. I had them on my extended cab but my rcsb is FX4 like yours and rides rather severely.

Shipping will kill you if you try to sell the headlights online. When I tried to sell my originals, I had quotes for $158 each, the 18 lights are a little bigger though. I worked with the buyer and we made a deal shipping from one Fastnel store to another with their LTL shipping service, which was suggested by a member here.
Got the cost down to $75 for the pair. It wasn't very fast though so the buyer needs to be patient, which mine was.

I find my stock FX4 rides pretty good. The stock Goodyears were rough riding, but the Nittos ride smooth. I'm only getting the Bilstein's because the heavy 63 pound tires overtax the suspension (stock shocks) when you hit a bump at speed.
I hope you're wrong about the severe ride. Yikes.

Are the swing cases lockable or are they only locked to the bed?
