Default Space White Build

I drive a 2021 Space White STX 5.0 2wd. I’m running a Bilstien 5100 leveling kit with replacement struts and rear shocks. The wheel/tire is a 17 by 9 +12 venomrex 602 in Highland bronze that is wrapped in a 285/75r17 Toyo open country AT3 load range c. I would say I have a good 2” of poke. The factory set up weighed 78-79lbs. The new set up weighs 83.6 lbs at each corner.

That is how it sat factory

That’s factory wheels and tires with leveling kit

That’s how it sits now

Failed Experiment

Before

During the process

I ended up painting the top third of the light housing with 2 coats of primer, 2 coats of black, 3 coats of clear.

After

The light passes right through the black, it dimmed the light that hits the tailgate barely. The goal was to have only light on the license plate and not up the tailgate. I’m guessing two coats of black was not enough! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

First oil change at 5,119 mi!

Put 7.7 quarts of full synthetic and used a K and N filter.

Then installed a fumoto oil drain valve for future changes. Will update on the valve, if it has leaks or if it is easier to use when changing the oil!

Finally got the truck perfectly aligned with in spec!

I installed them myself then took it to an alignment shop. The install is not that bad once you figure out how to do it. It will take about 45mins with the proper impact. There is a cam on both sides of the lower control arm bolts. The part I ordered said moog on the listing and moog on the box but was an spc branded part, not sure why? They worked perfect just remember to buy 2 sets so that you can complete both sides.

Yes I can get poke pictures in a bit! The shop I took it to for the alignment talked through why it was unaligned and why it could not be aligned. I have a 2wd truck first off. The shop told me that with the extreme caster my truck had after the level my tires would wear fine, my steering wheel was perfectly straight, tires would wear the same as normal, but when spending $xxxx on tires $200 for cam nuts and alignment was a no brainer. To have the shop install the cam bolts and alignment I was quoted $700. So I told them I would wait and see, did lots of research and started looking under the truck. Found the spc/moog cam nuts on Amazon for $25 per set and figured I had nothing to lose( you need 2 sets(4pc)). Install was a breeze, but you need and a large impact and an alignment scheduled for the next day because the front end was all out of wack, and steering wheel off center after install. The reason the cam nuts where needed is the factory lca’s on f150s are not adjustable. Once again I’m 2wd but running 2018-20 Bilstien 4wd 5100s in all four corners at factory height setting up front which gave me ~3in in the front and ~1in in the rear leaving an inch of rake. The ~3in in the front is why I think they were needed in my application. I have factory uca’s and lca’s.

The reason I went with c range tires was for on road driving. They are only 1lb lighter, which I think still helps. Also they are higher load and speed rates then the factory tires even in c. I have towed ~4500lbs many times and the tires perform great for my towing needs and amazing unloaded.

Sorry for the in-depth response but I hope it allows you to understand everything that went down!
