Me too, some guy at a gas station asked where I bought my headlights and was amazed when I told him I built them myself lol that was a good feeling.

Lol. I've surprised quite a few people when they find out I paid for everything on my truck including my truck. There's so much more I want to do to it though. Haha. If only I had unlimited $$$ to play around with...

Yeah I admit I didn't pay for the truck itself so props to you on that. But every aftermarket thing besides a few Christmas presents has all been on my. Worked all summer before Jr. Year to get the wheels... Was going to buy tires this summer but dad said of I held off I'd get them for graduation so of course I jumped on that. And yeah if I had more money and skill there'd be some even sweeter stuff going, but I plan to get the skill to make the money so it's a win win.

Haha. I'm man enough to admit my parents came up with 10K that they were able to give me on the truck... But I definitely worked my butt off for everything I have. The truck cost us about 15,000 which the 5K I saved myself. I just tell everyone I paid for it myself because when I tell people how much my parents gave me it comes down to people saying that they probably pay for everything. And yeah I almost bought a 6" lift kit from working at a halloween store one season but decided to buy a macbook pro instead because I didn't have the money to get new rims and tires at the time. I've got a decent amount of skill on how to do pretty much anything to the truck. Anything I don't know can be found on google or on here. Working on vehicles has always fascinated me.

Yeah I love the challenge, and when people say anything about my dad paying for it I ask them if they thought I'd be rolling on bald street tread if he payed for everything I wanted lol

Lol exactly. I mean if my parents paid for everything it wouldn't be as nice actually. They don't have the excess money laying around for truck parts. I've gotten a few things for either Christmas or my birthday but thats the toolbox, emblem cover, floor mats, and door speakers. Everything else I bought. And I'm trying to figure out if that post is for or against your truck...
