You can buy another bezel for 30ish dollars, then you wouldn't have to take them apart ....just swap them out

Now, why didn't I think of that? Your right it just pops off with the trim removal tool in seconds.

We don't have Magnuson-Moss in this desolate country We don't even have Lemon Law, just an arbitration process. I guess arbitration is "fair", but if you're ever pushed to that point I doubt anyone would be in the mood for more negotiations.

I'm not quite that close with the dealer guys, sadly. My dealer wasn't the selling dealer, but took care of a bunch of things for me last week including replacing an out-of-balance factory tire, bad alignment and TCM update at barely 1000 miles (I gave the selling dealer 3/5 on the survey), all without a single question asked, hesitation or bull****. They were very courteous and efficient, so I'll be bringing my truck back in the future. Coincidentally, the selling dealer has a glowing 4.5/5 on Google/Yelp/DealerRater, and we actually had a really bad falling out with the sales side of my service dealer back in the day when we were buying the Explorer the service dept there is top notch, though.

I'm with you on owning up to modded parts causing damage; I won't even try to object because my conscience won't let me, period. It's just that tuning is a big step; if you run King suspension then obviously stock shocks are out of the question and you're on the hook for things like UCAs, etc., but if the motor goes bad on a tune then any dealer can conceivably deny warranty on any part of the motor or transmission? That's a big pill to swallow on a 2018. I don't really trust the '18 5.0 as I do the '17, if you had a chance to drive both my trucks you'd know what I mean. The '18 powertrain requires a lot more babying, while I honestly treated the '17 like it was a cockroach 6.0 L96.

Have you tried running in sport mode, that was what I was using 90% of the time cause it does shift a lot better than normal?
I've tried sport mode once. It held gears for longer and was pretty smooth, but it also doesn't jump gears in Sport mode so it has to go through every gear. I'll have to further explore city driving with Sport mode. It's kinda sad because I know that the 10R80 has already gotten so much better on the new programming in every aspect, but 10 gears is just an inevitably crazy burden in the city.

You know you can lock out the gears by selecting the + and - on the shifter, I did that for awhile too.

I actually didn't know you could lockout gears in D, guess I got too used to GM where M/L mode was actually lockout as opposed to manual. I guess I'll try lockout 8/9/10 in the city. Though the issue is more of the baby-step gears and the transmission having trouble deciding when to use them (1-2-3-4-5) and when to skip them (1-3-4-5, 1-3-5, 2-4-6). Thanks!

That is a good idea, now to get the mount when they come out.

Since the tune, I've been playing around with traction control off and sport mode, it's a beast.
