Well I have been on this forum for a while now and post odds and ends about the work I have done to my truck. Every once in a while to I get some crazy ideas for the truck and I ask for some advice. So I guess it is time to actually start my own build thread and hopefully yall will enjoy.

Let me start by giving a little background. I owned a 2008 Acura RDX with the crazy SH-AWD system and actually enjoyed the thing for over 3 years. But as time went on, I realized that I needed a little more practicallity and working ability so I went on the hunt. I have always wanted a King Ranch and it took me a little while to find one in the color I wanted. I finally found this one and it already had a few goodies to go with it that included a Rancho QL and Banks exhaust.

Notice the HUGE mud flaps that immedaitely had to go...
So I brought it to the station and pulled them right off.

After a little while of learning the truck, I k new it was time to start putting my own mark on it. I bought Harley Davidson style headlights, 6000k HID's and a good bit of plastidip.

For the plastidip part of the project, I wanted to do a fair amount but somehow heep it subtle.

Starting out with the grill and mirror caps.


Then onto door handles, rocker panels, and fender flares.

Well then it was time for the black plastidip to come off of the wheels all while I ran out of tan.

Here was that result, the wheels looked better but the bumpers didnt match.

After about a week of waiting my second order of dip came in and I was able to finish the project. During that time I had a friend of mine from work make up some new 4x4 decals for me. The jury is still out on if I like them yet or not.

I knew that at some time I wanted to get new tires and I figured, well why not go big, so I looked into 35's. However upon doing all of my online shopping I found out I wanted wheels as well and the same "why not do it big" thought came to my head. So I started looking into some 20's. The setup I went with was a set of 20x9 Mamba M2X wheels with 295/60R20 Nitto Terra Grapplers.

The day the tires came in.


Wheels came in a few days later.



And finally installed

One of the last things I wanted to do was to redo the exhaust setup. As I said before the truck had a Banks system on it, but me being a kid at heart wanted to be a little loud..... So I straight piped it and rerouted the exit using the same fat tip.
