Would you be able to post pictures of your current and previous setup along with specifications?

Also, where were you able to source a box specific to your truck and speaker?

Im beginning to itch for a stereo upgrade and researching options.

Thank you greatly!

Contact Mobile Toys in College Station, Texas. They ship a VERY nice box for about $400.

It's funny you mention Mobile Toys.. I have been in contact with Adam Pate for a full install in my truck.

Its great to hear their name referred outside of my research.

I went to school at A&M and have know Chris Pate for years. He is literally one of the best in the industry and a genuine good guy. His TEAM is also amazing - it’s not just a one man deal there. They did an amazing install in my buddies 2017 Platty and I am running a ported box of his in mine with a JL TW3 12”. I have had some pretty big systems in my vehicles before and this setup for a thin sub really impressed me. It doesn’t fall flat in certain ranges and can handle the power and lows. I love the setup.

With two small kids running around nutzo, I can't waste time - SO, I put together a bed bike rack. This way I can just leave the bikes locked up to the truck for as long as I need and proceed with setting up camp. They also are out of the way of anything I pack in the bed. I'm loving the setup so far!

Sorry, the truck is filthy - It's been raining a LOT here in Houston...

Close up of the rack.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's how I did it:

Anchor points:
Amazon.com: Highland (1340000) Chrome Universal Anchoring System - 2 piece: Automotive

Router bit to cut out holes to access stake pockets:
Amazon.com: Bull Ring Pocket Router Bit for 97-14 Ford Short Bed & 09-15 RAM: Automotive

1-1/2" Square AL tubing sourced from local metal supplier

5/16" x 4" bolts and washers to bolt the square tubing to the anchor points.

Caps for square tube:
Amazon.com - Plastic Square Blanking End Caps Tubing Tube Inserts 38 x 38mm 5pcs - Decorative Hanging Ornaments

Yakima control towers:
Amazon.com : Yakima Control Tower Roof Rack Tower (Set of 4) : Sports & Outdoors

Yakima control tower bases (#1):
Amazon.com: Yakima Landing Pad: Sports & Outdoors

Yakima bars (78" - the 66" is close, but just a touch too short. Cut 78's):
Amazon.com : 78" Yakima Roof Rack Round Crossbars : Automotive Bike Racks : Sports & Outdoors

Yakima Caps for bars:
Amazon.com: Yakima End Cap: Sports & Outdoors

------------------------------------------------------------------

After lining everything up and drilling my holes in the square tube, I used a LONG screw driver and some electrical tape to hold the square Yakima "nuts" that hold the control tower bases inside the tube.

I opted for the 1-1/2" bar, but it's a little bit bigger than I would like. I'd use 1-1/4" bar for anyone who is copying this setup. Otherwise I love how it turned out.
This is exactly what I'm looking to do. Any tips before I start?

Nice setup btw
