How's the pioneer sub with the alpine amp? I'm going to be installing the same setup this weekend provided the box comes in Friday or Saturday.

It actually sounds really good. I mean it is nothing like a huge 12 under the seat but my rear view mirror shakes and has a nice thump. Cheaper then putting in a kicker kit and sounds better plus you have the room under the seat to load stuff.

Perfect! That's what I wanted to hear. I had good luck with a full depth 10" Pioneer in my last truck under the seat. I went with the Alpine amp for the auto sensing turn on with speaker level inputs. Mine is going to be a bit tricky to fit everything because I have the Sony package and can't delete the Sony amp. I'm going to be running 4 gauge OFC power and ground wires, learned my lesson before of using cheap wiring. Melted 8 gauge CCA wiring with my last setup.

How did you run the power wire for it? I see in the manual it says if the stretch from the battery to the amp is long than 3' to run 2 gauge to a distribution block, then 4 gauge after that... Why?

This local shop installed it for me because i didn't order the wiring. I bought the wiring from them and they did all the work. All my tools were being shipped to texas so I had no other choice at the time.

Nice truck! I'm planning on installing the ANZO headlights in a month or two.
