OCMike's RCSB Guard Metallic 5.0 Build
After ordering my truck in late November I finally took delivery of my Guard Metallic RCSB 5.0 XLT. I have a long list of mods planned.
Drove it almost directly home and started tearing it apart. Wanted to grab the low hanging fruit. Everyone has said the 8" Cluster was easy...They were correct and Livenitup made it super totally painless. Took maybe 45 minutes and that was because I spent 15 minutes looking for a 5mm socket. Anyway mark one mod off the list. What great mod too...Totally transforms the feeling of the truck to the next level. Thanks to everyone for mentioning this refinement.
Tomorrow Fox Coilovers, SE Wheels and KO2s.
Mike
Update: Here's a little video truck looks now, if you want to save you the trouble of reading the whole thread. Otherwise read on.
You may also visit my YouTube Channel to see a few other videos of the truck.

Thanks!
I've been working on a few things regarding the truck, there will be some updates coming. But I've been largely focused on landscaping my yard along the riverbank after that tree that fell a couple years ago.
It's finally getting back in shape. New seawall, rebuilt flower beds and new grass. These were taken a few days after I rolled out the sod. The truck is seen in the background on the driveway in the last drone shot, and paid a big role doing the work.

That color is pretty nice, can't wait to see the mods get knocked off. Waiting for so long to get the truck, I'm sure the mods will come faster.

Yep...I was going to do them myself, then have it aligned...The dealer recommended a great local shop within a mile from home that would do the whole job for $225 with the alignment. The same shop did all my mother's car maintenance when she was alive so I was well aware of their reputation so I couldn't say no.
Oh for folks with 2018 trucks the brackets Fox supplies with the 2.5 reservoirs with DSC do not go on without modifying the bracket. My installer took care the issue though and the installation looks great. I tipped the installer $50 because I kind of felt guilty...It wasn't his fault especially when someone brings their own parts. Something you should keep in mind if you're putting these on a 2018. He pointed out the fitment guide actually says 2015-2017.
I only drove it mile home from the shop, from what I can tell the ride is much firmer but not harsh, with almost no body roll. I haven't looked yet to see the DSC setting are currently set...I plan on playing with those settings after the tires and the rears are install.
I took some measurement and pictures before so I'll take some after with the stock tires and wheels, but just eyeballing it looks level with maybe a small rake, as you can see by the showroom shots the rake was pretty bad... I'll do the rears myself in the morning then take some pictures with the stock tires then with the SE wheels and K02s.
Its going to have to spend the night outside now that the level is on. Even without the level the dumb antenna bangs the garage door header...Scared the crap out of me the first time it happen. Now it will be much worse. I ordered a last night as soon as I got home. Thanks to Amazon Prime it will be delivered in the morning.

I'm curious to see how much lift you actually get with the regular cab.
