I know! I know! But I gotta work with what I have. I had it sitting on just the stands but they were sinking into the ground so I had to put them on the paver blocks. Really sucks not having a decent place to work.
Thats what makes me so proud of this old rig. Everything I’ve done with the exception of removing the lift blocks, has been on my back in the gravel/mud crap hole.

Eventually, we’re going to have that whole parking area paved like we did with the driveway. Couldn’t afford to do it all at once. Once that’s done, we can finally replace the worn out carpet too. Doesn’t make sense to do the carpet yet though. Too much slop to walk through to get to the house.

Fronts are dona and all bedded in. Rears next weekend , weather permitting! No more pulsation, and stops way better than stock!

That's a nice setup Mike, liked those on my '12, and when time comes, they'll be going on this truck too.
Which pads did you wind up using?

I went with the OEM Semi-Metallics. It’s too much of a PITA working in the gravel and I didn’t want to have to do them again if I didn’t like the way the ceramics performed.
Stops great, nice and straight and no more pulsation.

I went a little crazy while I had it apart. Took a wire wheel to the caliper mounting brackets and then refinished them silver. Cleaned and refinished the backing plates and painted the calipers even though they have covers on them. All new hardware including new slide pins.

That 's the way to do it, it's one of those "might as well" things. I always replace the slide pins too, cheap insurance.

The parts guy at the dealership I use actually gave me the pins for free when I bought the pads. I’m super happy with that place.
seems like 9 out of 10 times when someone has problems with brakes hanging up, they blame the caliper when it’s the pins are not sliding properly. I can say this because it’s happened to me before.
