We could legally harvest a lot of deer here in TN. This zone, we can take 2 antlered bucks per year and 3 doe PER DAY!
I hunt my own land ( license still required ) exclusively. Last year I donated 6 deer to “Hunters For The Hungry”! All you have to do is field dress it and drop it off.
I wasn’t going to hunt this year because our local herd is smaller than in the past due to the neighbors overhunting. I prefer does for meat. The bucks are loaded with testosterone. I would like that nice “10” but it would also be nice to see what he becomes next year, if nobody else harvests him.
No room on the wall for another mount anyway.

The best thing is to practice responsible herd management. Try to harvest only the older bucks, does that have not bred that year, etc. I monitor them year round with game cameras. I know which does the bucks have no interest in and try to cull them out of the herd. Last year, I also harvested a doe with a laim front leg. She had an injury from what looked like a minor hit from a car. The meat was fine.

Getting back on track. Raptor style grille lights. Should I or shouldn’t I? Question #2, amber or white LED? I think amber would clash with my “theme”! Too bad I can’t do blue but it’s illegal here.
