I have a 9.75 in mine with 3.55's. Just went and looked in the cold dark morning cause OC Mike had me double guessing myself.

where you been Dewey? Haven’t seen you around the forum lately.
The two have different shaped covers. The 8.8 is more squared off and has 10 bolts. 9.75 has 12 bolts.

I've been working a lot lately. I've been lurking but I haven't been on here as much as I would like.

Thanks for the clarification. I was starting to think you guys were like cyborgs or something. Lol.

I've seen a chart somewhere that you can reference your axle code, and it will tell you your size, ratio, etc. Just spent a good half hour looking, now I can't find it.

Look at post #1685, that's an 8.8, more symmetrical than a 9.75. 9.75 points to the right, for lack of a better description.

Okay! So I know my truck came with a CAI from the factory and it does the job well. I’ve been looking for a kit that retains the “true” factory fender well inlet yet let’s me hear the turbos in action.
I came across this Banks Ram Air kit that combines the factory Gen12 lower box and inlet with a cover which contains a snorkel similar to the “over the radiator support” inlet of the Gen13’s. It uses a dry filter so the risk of sensor contamination is reduced AND allows the spooling turbos to be heard. Not too “ricer” looking either!

Myself, I think it's a nice addition, as long as a guy knows what he can really expect, and I'm sure you do. I've been halfheartedly kicking around one from S&B, for looks and turbo sound as well. Biggest reason why I haven't done it is because I've never really gotten an answer as to the sound, do you, or don't you, get to hear the turbos better. Guys have said removing the swirlygigs increases the sound, didn't make any difference I could hear, but very interested in what you have to say. LOL, we've both got crappy hearing, so if you say you hear it, I'll believe it!!
