TN.Whiskey's Ole Blue Label
I love reading about y'alls trucks so I thought I could put mine up here and hopefully get useful feedback.
Start with the fact this is my first NEW truck, but I just married an awesome woman and moved out to her families farm and decided I needed a more reliable truck to get stuff done.
I parted ways with my 82 Chevy C10 but kept my 96 Danger Ranger to make this happen.
So here is what I got,
A 2018 Lightning Blue XLT Super Crew FX4 3.5L V6 EcoBoost
Wanted and Got:
- Max tow package
- Sync 3 - gotta have my bluetooth
- Back Up Cameras
- Reverse Sensors
- Cloth Seats
- 4 x 4
- Power ports out the yazoo (4 USB, 3 DC 12V, 2 power converted AC 120V)
- Electric Seats
- SuperCrew, this will also be used as the family vehicle (2 daughters, 1 awesome wife, and 2 dogs) - My wife's 2011 Convertible Mustang GT is not practicle
- Tailgate Step Up - getting old
I wanted the 3.5L V6 EcoBoost for the towing power and the MPG, I have a 35 minute commute to work now that I'm out here.
Also it was very helpful that I got to use my father-in-law's Z plan discount.
Pictures will be posted but it seriously hasn't stopped raining here in Middle TN since the day I bought it, except today, which was busy because of the good weather.
Over the years I have tended to keep most things stock with lighting as the one constant exception, but something feels different about Ole Blue Label... there will be mods...

[Reserved 4 Mods]
First Thing I did was pick up a 5.25" drop tow hitch with master lock - Not planning on leveling the truck - kinda like the stock look (for now)
Then I tinted the front roll downs to 20% to match the back - Parker Brothers in Murfreesboro, TN
Next I started researching what you guys were doing and made a wish list - more on that later
After researching the bedliners, I went with the standard Line-X spray in liner from Line-X of Murfreesboro. They did an excellent job, no over-spray, done in an hour and a half, and under budget.
On the way home from there I stopped at AutoZone (had a $20 gift card) and purchased/installed LED reverse lights, So Bright!!
Items I've ordered and am waiting on - Will Update as I get em
Ford tray type all weather floor mats w/F150 logos - custom molded and the same style as Weather Tech and Huskey but for far less $$ ($100.00 on eBay)
LED Cargo Lights and 3rd Stop Light (from F150LEDS.com)
LED CREE 6000K Fog Lights (eBay)
LED License Plate Lights (from Stage3MotorSports)
Tonno Pro (LR-3045) 09-18 Ford F150 Extra Short Bed 5'6" Lo-Roll Cover (Direct from Lund International - rebates and free products)

Need Help With These
Cat Back Exhaust - Some many options - So much Money - What to Do?
Under Seat Storage Box - DuHa vs Huskey
Stereo Screen Protector?
Center Console Divider?
Badging? Keep or Strip? Overlays?
What to do with the front Valance (Air Dam)?
Oil / Fuel Separator Needed?
Interior Blue LED Lights for foot wells (front and back) - not too bright tho
ForScan I have no idea what I need for that or how to use it, I'm fairly good with technology - just don't want to screw up the truck

Thanks, I love seeing all the mods people do on theirs, but am really picky about doing anything permanent to mine, loved the truck when I got it and am not in a hurry to make any major changes. But I love LED lights, but not ground lights or anything just in the stock locations
