Default My "Stormtrooper" Build

I figure it's finally time to get around to making a build thread. I own a 2004 Fx4

A little bit of back story for everyone; I joined back in late 2011 and didn't have more than a sub in the backseat. After lurking for a couple of months, the "stormtrooper" build began for me.

Things I have planned for the truck:

  • 6" RCX Lift Powdercoated White
  • 35" Open Country or Trail Grapplers
  • Edge CS Programmer
  • K&N Cold Air Intake
  • Satin Black Bumpers, Rockers, Fender Flares
  • Street Scene Fender Flares
  • Road Armor Front Bumper
  • Tint
  • Retrofitted Headlights w/ Oracle Halos
  • Viper Alarm System
Here was the truck before I started messing with it.

My first little project was to smoke out my tail lights! Did about 4 heavy coats to get the black look I was going for! LOVED the look, but hated trying to back out of places at night.

After that I decided on getting some wheels. I went with 18" XD Monsters with a -12 offset.

I started knocking some smaller things. I got some 2009+ Emblems and I plasti-dipped my badges, bumpers, rockers and fender flares.

I have never been a fan of the H-Bar grill, so I went ahead and bought a Saleen Grill and have loved it ever since!

I left it alone for a little bit and started saving. After a couple of months, I figured it was time to add a little rumble. I talked to the aftermarket guy at the dealership by my and I order the Off Road Roush Side Exit exhaust! I had the tips powdercoated matte black to match the theme of the truck! Please excuse the terrible camera skills!

Was planning on getting some black headlights, but the 2 sets that had been sent the bulbs didn't fit, so after getting refunded I took the plunge and ordered some aftermarket projector headlights w/ HIDs. Also have LED tail lights and 3rd brake light, I will upload pictures tomorrow.

2009+ Blacked out FX4 Badges!

A couple pictures of it all washed up!

Took off the plasti-dip and painted the bumpers and rockers satin black!

Yeah I noticed after I had both pages done. Was too tired to fix it because it was so late. Thanks though! I appreciate it!

They are a set of Sypder tail lights. They are the black housing as opposed to the normal red or smoked housing. I got them because they still have that stock look except are using LEDs. Here is another pic for a better look!
