Default My Red Candy FX4

Well, I already posted these pics in the 09+ section, but I figured I might as well make a build thread to track my progress. Picked it up a week ago and was wrenching on it as soon as I got home. Lol. I didn't get anything too fancy on it, basically as bare as I could get it. Although I must say the backup camera is a nice little add on.

As she sat once I picked it up from the dealer.

FX4 decal and step bars removed

Rear block removed (dropped 1.25")

I also had the dealership install a Titan remote start as well as line-x the bed. Next set of days off I'm doing badges and the stereo system. I'll get some better pictures too, not just crappy ones from my phone.

Ya man, I'm loving it so far! I got the 5.0L engine. And I'll throw some interior pics up once I get my control module and subs installed for sure.

As for the wheels and tires, I appreciate the offer, but not quite the look I'm going for. Thanks though. I've already got some rims in mind too, just not sure if I'm going to get them before or after winter. Because they'll just be summer tires, and stockers will be for the winter.

OK, well I completely forgot I had built this thread. So here goes my updates as of the Tonneau cover

First off, bought a Cravenspeed Stubby

Wheels. 22x9.5 KMC Slides wrapped with 275/45R22 Falken ziex

Sound system (this is where it gets complicated. lol.

Started off with a DC Audio 15" Lvl4XL powered by a Powerbass Xtreme 3000W and run by a PAC something or other (don't know model #)

Didn't like it too much (mainly because amp was crap, but I didn't realize it at the time). So I started planning the next iteration. Finally the amp completely crapped out, so I took this as an opportunity to order a DC Audio 3.5K and buy (4) 8" DC Audio M2Lvl2 and a JBL MS8. The amp took forever to get in due to problems with the manufacturing plant and I was tempted to switch to something else, but I'm glad I waited. A 2.5" seat lift was also installed which allowed for a unique mounting solution for both my MS8 and 3.5K

Future plans as of right now include (plans may change of course):

Platinum grille ptm/black. Grille is already purchased, just have to wait until I can pick it up (long story)
Street Scene bumper cover
2" drop all around
Painted Fender flares
(4) Sets RE Audio XXX components run off (2) DC Audio 175.4 amps (in custom pods)
Big 3 (4 most likely)
And much more, but It's all coming around slowly

Ever been around a northern Alberta winter? If there was no potential need for a 4x4, I would be driving a 2wd.

Also, this coming from a guy making an "off-road FX2"? LMAO!! Hypocritical much?
