Hows it going ? Those toes grow back yet ? That must of been like stepping in some jelly fish.

Well careful with that Mig as well. Fusing your finger nails together is no fun...not that I would know.

Is the truck close to dd status yet ?

I was out of town all last week so no progress. I'm hoping to pick up the transmission tommorow and have it running before I go to work at 8. Should be daily drivable by the end of the week

Yeah lol I'll get back to you on that one tommorow, hopefully. I'm quadruple checking everything tonight to make sure it's all ready to go

If there's still time, might want to look into topping off the trans with something better MV Fluid. Fluid that will knock that heat right down. Personally I can only attest to Amsoil, but there has to be others. RP might be a good one. I've been running the same Amsoil fill for 10 years now, periodically sending it in for analysis so I could get an idea when to change it. It's still plenty good after a decade and the best I've seen. I do this with crank oil as well which is why I still change it out every 3000 miles lol. Yea the crank is a little different, modulars work the oil. But I'm running the recommended Blend oil in the crank.

Anyway, the Amsoil for the trans is pricey but well worth it if you plan on seeking longevity. 346,000 miles on both trans and engine so the regimen works...so far.

Something to think about anyway.

I already have 18 quarts of motorcraft mercon V in my garage lol. I'm running a trans cooler off a 7.3 and a remote filter so hopefully with the added capacity and big cooler there is no problems
