My 2018 DIY retrofit headlights
Thought I'd share a retrofit I did on my 2018. It was my first retrofit so I'm super happy with the way it came out. I'm running morimoto md2s 5.0 projectors with xb35 watt ballast. I also removed the yellow reflector and replaced it with a clear one. And I put in a hi profile lens for the hi beam. I'm running Philips xv2 bulbs. Thanks for looking.

Nice. I'm working on my own set of retrofitted headlights. I can appreciate the end result.

Good job!

Excellent retrofit. Those projectors are sick. How's the high beam? Did you tie the shield solenoid in with the High beams also for a quad high beam or leave the projectors Low beam only? Post more pics! LOL

Thanks man. Hi beam is nice. I did hook up the solenoid and ran a splitter cable to run both on hi beam 👌. During the day I'm just running the amber for running lights. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...c62b82bb6a.jpg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...59712b19cd.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...dc0e2152be.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...a536061fb4.jpg https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.f15...1e120030e4.jpg |
Wow that looks awesome, about to attempt the same thing myself, how did you attach the projectors? Did you just use the threaded collars? No glue? How sturdy are they?
