My next mod wasn't so much a mod as adding factory functionality. I wanted to add OEM Sirius so I found it could be done by picking up any late model Ford CD player that was equipped with Sirius. Found one on eBay for ~$42:
Stock vs. the unit I got, which came out of '16 Focus. You can see the top one has the extra yellow antenna for Sirius. Speaking of the OEM unit uses a fakra connector so I had to pick up an adapter to go to SMB of Sirius antenna:
All set, swapped my brackets over and ready to install.
And good to go. I did have to enable with ForScan but no issues and works great. I mounted the antenna under the dash and reception is great.
Ideally I'd like to pick up a radio bezel from an XLT that has the Sirius direct button in place of mute.
Thanks for posting the remote start kit. I am thinking about going with the same. Looks to have a security sensor too do you know if that is required as I have my dogs sometimes and I dont want it to trigger.

Hey no problem. Yeah the base security kit has an impact/shock sensor but you can adjust sensitivity. It's really not bad at all and of course only arms if truck is locked. But that's the basis for the remote start. You could also do the remote access instead which lets you control via app from your phone. Either way you need the base security kit as a start.
