My 2015 RACE RED XLT CREW "BUILD THREAD"
Hello Everybody.
I use the word "build thread" loosely. Its really just one place I can upload all the small things I've done to it.
I purchased it used with 40k. on it.
This is the only picture I have of it stock. This is day two of ownership, when I had to get it towed to Ford because the trans was shifting funny. Towed there and the "couldn't recreate the issue." go figure.
Since i've put 12k on it and hasn't happend agai, so i can't complain.
First mod was a set of anzo lights because the stock ones are sub par.
I installed LED bulbs in both the high and lows. Highs are fine, but I have since ordered the Morimoto HID's for the lows and will be swapping out shortly.
Next up was getting rid of the chrome. For me. chrome and race red should not be on the same truck.
I found a sport front bumper and grill
Next up was stereo.
I've had a sub in every car I own, but I also have a 1 and 3 year old, so I wasn't looking for real loud.
I did a thread on the box I made for behind the seat so I won't go into detail, but just add some pictures.

A lot of great builds have started with "all of the small things I've done to it" & you have a great canvas to start your work of art with! I look foward to following your progress

Then I was able to start the suspension.
I went with 6" BDS lift with 5" blocks in the rear and fox shocks(rear)
In the process on pulling the front apart.
And the front Diff is out!!
While it was out I had the shop up the street re gear it to 4.10. I am still waiting to have the rear done since he's backed up. yes I know i can't engage 4x4 with different gears....

Thanks,
I don't know why but I just like badgeless grills on my cars. I've made them for my past couple cars.
First couple coats and then smoothing them down.
As you can see, it's keeping the same curve as oem. Keeping the slight angle of the top section is another obstacle...
and time for some paint!!

lol, Damn nice build. You had my full attention until post #5....lol Man these lifted/leveled trucks....ahhhhh, still she is nice, and happy you swapped out that chrome front bumper. Totally changes the look. Rear? LOVE the grille, thats a very nice, unique touch! Do you work in the auto body industry? If so, tricks of the trade. Hats off to you!
